"Providing Assistance for Moments in Life When You Need it Most"

Pediatric Care Program- The Foundation provides financial assistance to families who have a child receiving pediatric hospice or palliative care services, that are unable to pay for critical unfunded expenses. This can include but is not limited to providing wish trips and bills directly related to patients/families in need.

Hospice and Palliative Education- The Foundation provides support through funding for grief support materials for youth and teens in South Carolina who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Need & Assistance Fund- The Foundation provides assistance to individuals who have been diagnosed with a life limiting illness. This assistance may include financial help to those who are unable to pay for critical unfunded expenses. This can include but is not limited to assisting with electric bills and wheelchair ramps.

Camp Hands of Hope- hosted three times a year in South Carolina for youth ages 5-18 and their families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Sometimes, a child’s laughter and playfulness masks an inner pain.  We recognize that children grieve in many different ways. They want support from their peers and to know that there are others with similar challenges.  For these reasons, we created Camp Hands of Hope, a safe, caring environment where families can express their feelings and connect with others going through similar experiences. Contact us for more information.

Technology for Hope- The Foundation provides funding for telemedical assistance to pediatric hospice and palliative care patients to allow the patient and family to communicate more frequently with their interdisciplinary team. Telemedicine improves patient care by allowing medical information to be exchanged from one site to another via electronic communications. The Foundations telemedical assistance includes a growing variety of applications and services using two-way video, email, smart phones, wireless tools and other forms of telecommunications technology.

Research for Hope- The Foundation provides funding for research of new and best practices for the treatment and care of patients who are currently receiving hospice or palliative care treatment. Our research team is committed to studying and providing new ways to better serve pediatric hospice and palliative care patients.
